Pratiquer la gravure, la lithographie . La lithographie est une technique de gravure à plat, souvent sur pierre calcaire, fondée sur l'antagonisme naturel entre l'huile et l'eau. L'artiste dessine directement sur la matrice avec une encre grasse, puis la traite chimiquement pour rendre les zones non dessinées hydrophiles et celles dessinées hydrophobes. Lors de l'encrage, l'eau repousse l'encre qui adhère uniquement aux parties dessinées. L'impression avec une presse lithographique produit des estampes d'une grande finesse. Après une présentation des outils et du procédé, ce manuel décortique, à travers des pas-à-pas photographiques complets, les étapes fondamentales de la création de lithographies sur pierre en noir et blanc et en couleurs. Il explore également l'utilisation de supports alternatifs, comme le métal, le bois ou le polyester, ainsi que des techniques originales telles que la manière noire, la taille directe, la kitchen litho et le transfert de copies laser.
