Summary
Update to the 2013 NFPA 1962 to be sure fire hose, nozzles, and fire hose appliances can operate properly for effective fire suppression. Featuring a revised scope and other changes, NFPA 1962: Standard for the Care, Use, Inspection, Service Testing, and Replacement of Fire Hose, Couplings, Nozzles, and Fire Hose Appliances contains the latest criteria for the inspection, care, use, service-testing, and replacement of: Fire hose Fire hose couplings Fire-fighting nozzles Fire hose appliance Coverage also includes requirements for the associated recordkeeping as well as new requirements for a system test of each pre-connected hose line or any attack line used for interior firefighting operations on a fire apparatus together with the nozzle or hose connected appliance it supplies. This edition has been revised to remove any reference to relay supply hose and unlined hose as well as requiring hose manufactured prior to July 1987 to be removed from service. Reorganized for ease of use! The new 2013 NFPA 1962 has been reorganized into a more user-friendly edition by bringing requirements for like equipment into the same chapter. Fire departments as well as individuals and companies that provide testing or inspection of fire hose, nozzles and appliances need to stay up-to-date with NFPA 1962.
