Pages intimes de ma peau est un hommage rendu à Josée Yvon dont 2014 marquait le vingtième anniversaire de la mort. Le titre, qui paraît ce printemps aux Écrits des Forges, dans sa collection de poche, réunit La chienne de l'hôtel Tropicana, initialement paru en 1977, Koréphilie (1981) et Filles-missiles (1986), auxquels l'éditeur a ajouté quelques poèmes épars parus à la même l'époque. Josée Yvon a élaboré une oeuvre tout à fait originale et hors du commun. Elle s'est intéressée à la littérature américaine, plus particulièrement au travail d'avant-garde de ceux qu'on associe à la Beat Generation et, au premier chef, à Jack Kerouac; mais elle a aussi été influencée par la littérature lesbienne des années 1960-1970. Elle a inscrit son oeuvre dans ce qu'il a été convenu d'appeler le mouvement de la contre-culture, dont elle a été la représentante la plus fervente. La poète a été l'une des toutes premières, dans sa poésie et dans ses récits, à utiliser différents stratagèmes littéraires, comme le mélange des genres, le collage, la langue parlée, et la provocation extrême de style trash, pour faire vivre les personnages de junkies, de travesties, de danseuses érotiques, de prostituées et d'autres paumés qu'elle mettait en scène.
