Summary
En des temps déjà anciens, des êtres sont montés à l'assaut du ciel d'Espagne avec la force de résister au fascisme tout en jetant les bases d'un monde sans domination ni exploitation. Le souvenir de cette révolution espagnole de 1936, belle comme la radieuse déraison libertaire qui la porta, resurgit après la mort de Franco en 1975. Puis au cours des années 1980, il s'enlisa dans les sables de l'oubli d'une Espagne où la « transition démocratique » vers le tout-marché se fonda sur un accord entre une « droite » et une « gauche » pressées d'enterrer le vieux projet d'émancipation sociale et humaine dont le mouvement ouvrier espagnol, sous influence anarcho-syndicaliste, avait été l'indéniable artisan.
Folies d'Espagne s'intéresse aux ombres et lumières de l'activité anarchiste durant la guerre civile et dresse un panorama critique des succès et des échecs de cette révolution où, pour la seule fois dans l'histoire, du moins aussi massivement, un peuple en armes résista au fascisme tout en aspirant au communisme libertaire. Composé à partir de recensions d'ouvrages parus le plus souvent en espagnol et inédits en français, ce recueil repose sur un suivi méthodique, et parfois polémique, des débats historiographiques qui agitèrent le postfranquisme.
