Summary
Belle-fille du tristement célèbre Émile Robichaud, Violette envisage avec son mari Marcel la construction d'un chalet bien à eux sur la rive du Lac Noir, au nord d'un Montréal bouillonnant qui accueille l'Expo 67. Veuve depuis peu, la mère de Violette offre au couple un terrain assez grand pour qu'il concrétise son rêve. Quoique peu fortunés, Violette et Marcel sautent sur l'occasion, sachant qu'ils peuvent compter sur le précieux soutien des deux familles. La motivation est au rendez-vous, en particulier chez Marcel... Il faut dire qu'Yvan, son cadet, possède une résidence secondaire depuis plusieurs années, source de rivalité entre les deux frères, et de motivation pour le plus vieux des deux. Les membres du clan Robichaud arrivent à tour de rôle pour contribuer au projet. Mais lorsque, pour les remercier, Marcel passe une soirée entre hommes au bar de danseuses, un scandale fait irruption et prend des proportions majeures. Le rêve commun de Violette et Marcel pourrait-il s'effondrer à cause de la quête irréfléchie du plaisir, un des traits distinctifs qui courent dans la famille Robichaud?
