*** Résumé en anglais seulement *** The Amazing Race: 12 sends eleven teams on a 30,000 mile quest covering five countries never before visited on the Race, including Ireland, Lithuania and Croatia. Testing the Racers' physical wherewithal, they bike ride in Ireland on a high-wire 200 feet above the Atlantic Ocean, pole-vault over a stream in Holland and attempt to milk several stubborn camels. This pushes the Racers' patience to the brink - they realize that this is not for the faint-of-heart. The Racers must also contend with lost taxi drivers, depleted resources and most of all, each other. Challenge after challenge, the Racers risk life and limb for a chance at the $1,000,000 grand prize. This season's 11 Teams include a grandfather and grandson, married lesbian ministers, and dating Goths. Some teams are burdened by the Race's grueling physical demands, while others give in to their emotional rollercoaster ride and break their composure during the Race. To win this race, teams cannot rely solely on their athleticism: one challenge forces Racers to impress the local judges in Burkina Faso with their dance moves, while another challenge coerces a team to contemplate making permanent changes to their bodies in order to further their position in the Race.
