Maintenant résidente de Terre-Neuve et inspirée par la riche tradition musicale de l’île, la violoncelliste Ofra Harnoy a choisi de consacrer son nouvel album, On the Rock, au merveilleux répertoire de cette province. Elle a invité des musiciens et chanteurs tels que Fergus O'Byrne, Alan Doyle, Amanda Cash, Bob Hallett et Mike Herriott à se joindre à elle sur des classiques comme Mussels in the Corner, Let Me Fish Off Cape St.Mary's, St. John’s Waltz et Cliffs of Baccalieu. Avec son violoncelle à l'avant-plan, le résultat n’est rien de moins qu’une célébration unique et vibrante du patrimoine musical de Terre-Neuve. Ofra Harnoy s’est imposée comme l’une des plus grandes violoncellistes du monde.
