The Canadian conductor, closely associated with the orchestra, is the musical director of the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Philadelphia Orchestra. In the gilded room of the Musikverein in Vienna, he will present, alongside popular plays such as Roses du Sud and the Quadrille de La Bat , five new works performed there for the first time – including compositions by American Florence Price (1887–1953) and Josephine Weinlich (1844). 8-188 7), founder of Europe's first female orchestra.
