While the legendary Festspielhaus remained silent this summer, the Bayreuth Festival marked what would have been its opening day with a special concert at Haus Wahnfried, once Wagner's home and now a museum devoted to him. DG is now releasing Wagner at Wahnfried. Features Siegfried Idyll, performed by the Music Director Christian Thielemann, Bayreuth Festival Orchestra members, the Wesendonck Lieder and Finnish soprano Camilla Nylund.
