But not all warriors were rewarded with glory. Hangman’s Night tells the tragic story of Friday, October 13, 1307, when King Philip IV of France ordered the arrest of the Knights Templar. Once mighty warriors of the Holy Land, they were now branded as heretics and traitors. Imprisoned and awaiting their execution, some clung to hope for rescue, while others prepared for their final battle—determined to never renounce their faith. With eerie melodies and driving rhythms, Dominum’s Dr. Dead and his undead army amplify the haunting atmosphere of the dungeons, capturing the despair and defiance of the doomed Templars. The album reaches its climactic conclusion with Kings of Ragnarok , a song that depicts the ultimate battle of Norse mythology.
