Summary
Damien, un employé de Greenpeace établi à Londres, rentre en France pour les funérailles de son grand-père à Mongy. Le petit village savoyard de son enfance est marqué, depuis le chaud été 1976, par le meurtre d’une jeune fille, Claudia Campana, commis par un immigrant algérien, Arezki Hamani. Toutefois, des doutes persistent encore sur les circonstances du meurtre.. Solitaire et dévasté par le décès de sa sœur en 2002, Damien reste persuadé du lien entre la mort « accidentelle » de sa sœur et les secrets conservés par plusieurs résidents du village autour du drame de l’été 1976.. Aidé par son frère Adrien et par la journaliste franco-ontarienne Cristina, il part à la quête des secrets du village et de sa famille.. Puisant dans ses origines, Sébastien Pierroz traite dans ce fascinant polar du racisme qui hante depuis longtemps cette France de « l’entre-deux », avec en filigrane la désindustrialisation et les effets pervers de la mondialisation.. Originaire d’Annecy dans les Alpes françaises, Sébastien Pierroz est arrivé au Canada en 2009. Journaliste ayant œuvré dans plusieurs journaux en Ontario français, il est le producteur de ONFR+ du Groupe Média TFO.
